Located in Ottawa, Canada's scenic capital city, Carleton University consistently ranks among the top 5 comprehensive universities in Canada, welcoming over 3,000 international students from more than 150 countries. The university offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes across six faculties, spanning engineering, journalism, public affairs, arts, science, and business, giving students a wide range of career-focused pathways to choose from.
Most of Carleton's undergraduate programmes include a co-operative education (co-op) option, offering full-time, paid employment directly related to a student's field of study, alternating with academic terms. This ensures that graduates leave not only with a degree, but with verified, real-world career experience. Carleton also offers one of the most generous scholarship and bursary programmes in Canada, awarding over CAD $25 million annually to undergraduate students, with international students automatically considered for entrance scholarships.
For Atlantic Hall students interested in Canada as a higher education destination, Carleton represents a world-class, internationally welcoming environment with strong financial support, guaranteed on-campus accommodation for first-year international students, and a beautifully connected riverside campus in the heart of Canada's capital.
